ALANSON RIVERFEST
AUGUST 14-16th
The fun kicks off Friday afternoon in Alanson wih live music, vendors and activities through Sunday. There’s an Antique Flea Market, Arts and Crafts Show, Kayak races and the Lighted Boat Parade, even a performance by the Petoskey Steel Drum Band!
 
“ERNIE” AT THE CITY OPERA HOUSE
AUGUST 12-16TH
 “Ernie,” is the smash hit play about the Voice of Summer, Hall-of-Fame Broadcaster Ernie Harwell, written by award–winning author Mitch Albom.   “Looong gone”, but never forgotten, the play recounts the life of the beloved Tigers announcer on his last night at Comerica Park, and features actual footage from historic baseball moments. STONE CIRCLE GATHERINGS
SATURDAY NIGHTS THROUGH THE END OF AUGUST, 9-1
Poetry, storytelling and music are featured at this unique outdoor amphitheater. Poet bard Terry Wooten will host the gatherings beginning at 9 PM around the fire. Sit under a canopy of stars perched on a boulder, or bring a blanket or chair to enjoy the ever-changing variety of entertainment that is woven throughout the evening.
