Summer is here…. and that means lots to do every weekend! This weekend, I'm ready to hit the road and catch some fun in the sun…. and get a few dog kisses too.

All Breed Dog Show, June 16-18, Northwest Michigan Fairgrounds
The Grand Traverse Kennel Club presents their Annual All Breed Dog Show.  Judging classes are Conformation, Obedience, and Rally.  Mixed Breeds welcome, Obedience/Rally through AKA Canine Partners. Get up close to the dogs and see them at their finest.

In Water Boat Show, June 17-19, Bay Harbor
What a way to kick off the boating season!  Join the fun at the 14th annual In-Water Boat Show over Father’s Day weekend,  June 17th – 19th. The show will feature the finest in watercraft from pleasure boats to mega-yachts and everything in between! Bring the kids for  activities on Saturday afternoon!

Saturday, June 18 ~ 10 am – 8 pm
Sunday, June 19 ~ 10 am – 3 pm

Suttons Bay Summer Solstice Art and Wine Walk,  Fiday, June 17, 5pm
The Village of Suttons Bay will host its Annual Summer Solstice Art Walk. The event features galleries & shops in the village partnering with Leelanau wineries for a perfect summer evening. Each gallery and shop will host an artist and their work, along with wine tasting and hors d'oeuvres. For more information visit SuttonsBayArea.com

Greatest Midwest Town Party, Saturday, June 18, noon til 4
Celebrate at Open Space Park to commemorate Traverse City’s title as the "Greatest Midwest Town" by Midwest Living Magazine.  The celebration will last from noon to 4 p.m. and will include entertainment from local musicians including The Accidentals, with face-painting, food, ice cream, a demonstration of huge raptors from Wings of Wonder, ultimate Frisbee, bubble soccer, and appearances by National Cherry Queen Danielle Bott, National Cherry Festival mascot Super Cherry and Piper the Airport Dog. It’s a free event.

Taste of the North, Saturday, June 18, 11-2, Little Traverse History Museum on the Waterfront
The Little Traverse Historical Society's 35th annual Taste of the North is always a temptation for your taste buds with  food samples from 20+ area restaurants. In addition to great food there will be activities for children, historic displays and more..   Tickets for food and drinks will be sold at the gate.  Come enjoy this annual gathering at the museum overlooking Little Traverse Bay.
