Cold Water Can Remove Bacteria

I’ve always believed that hot water was the best alternative when it came to getting things clean. I wash my hands in hot water, I take hot showers, and things like undergarments, sheets, and towels I’ve always washed in hot. Keeping that water hot costs money, of course, but I want germs killed and things to be as clean as they can to prevent illness.
So what if all this time I was wrong? What if cold water can remove bacteria just as well as hot? Well Researchers at Rutgers University have discovered that it’s true. Using cool water is just as effective at removing bacteria from your hands as hot water. Several studies showed that the temperature of the water did not matter.
This could have a big impact in the restaurant and food industry as the FDA guidelines have required plumbing systems deliver water at 100 degrees for handwashing.
