Beer, Books, a local wine tour, and a great kick-off to ski season!

It’s a great week to enjoy a beer in Downtown TC, or get pumped for the upcoming ski season in Harbor Springs! You can make a beer run at the GT Resort & Spa on Saturday, stock up for a winter of reading at the City Opera House, or enjoy the flavors of fall on a wine tour of Petoskey. 
 
TC Beer Week
November 8-15
Experience craft beer tastings, special themed dinners and workshops. Get a pint or a sample, meet with brewers and brewery representatives and more. Friday night features a pub crawl at 7 Monks, the Little Fleet, Brady’s, U&I, Rare Bird, Market Bar and the Franklin.
 
 
Petoskey Ski Team Fundraiser
Friday, November 8th, 5:30-9pm
Enjoy a dinner and movie night at Nubs Nob, all to  benefit the Petoskey Ski Team! Dinner will be a yummy taco bar, followed by a screening of “Return to Send’er”…a must see ski season opener  movie. Doors open at 5:30, the film starts at 7:15. There will also be a silent auction. Admission is $20.00 for adults, $10.00 for students.
 
 
6th Annual Great Beerd Run
Saturday, November 9th, 10am, GT Resort & Spa, Acme
This is a 5k fun run that has beer tastings scattered throughout the course as well as at the start and finish lines. Featuring local beers from Beards, Shorts and Right Brain breweries. After the race there will also be a best beard competition, and a party with live music from the Broom Closet Boys. Tickets are $40. Get yours at thegreatbeerdrun.com
 
 
 
TC Children’s Book Festival
Saturday, November 9th, 10am-2pm, City Opera House, Traverse City
Offering a sampling of books from a variety of Michigan and national publishers.  Local non-profits will also provide fun, kid-friendly activities and crafts, Proceeds benefit Born To Read. Admission is free. Learn more at tcchildrensbookfestival.com
 
 
Petoskey Wine Region Annual Harvest Stomp
November 9th and 10th
