Wine, sledding and snowshoeing!

A weekend full of fun for everyone in the family. From a couple of ways to enjoy the snow to an afternoon of wine and seafood… a weekend Up North is never boring!
Forest Therapy Walk, Sat Feb 5, 10am at the Oden Fish Hatchery
Forest therapy, also known as forest bathing is a gentle walk in the woods engaging in invitations for sensory explorations in nature. Join Certified Forest Therapy Guide, Maureen Stine for this opportunity to recharge, relax and unwind on the public trails of the Oden State Fish Hatchery.
 
Lantern-lit Ski and Snowshoe, Saturday February 5, 6:00 pm, Grass River Nature Area
Lantern light reflecting off freshly fallen snow is a great way to enjoy the forest in winter. Enjoy an evening ski on GRNA’s groomed ski trails, or snowshoe the boardwalk to the river. They will have a warm campfire at the Center pavilion and the heated building will be open and staffed. Come any time during the 3-hour, self-guided, “open-house” style ski or snowshoe. Bring a flashlight or headlamp. Skis and snowshoes for all ages are available for rent at the Grass River Center for an additional $5 rental fee during the program, or bring your own. Indoor Farmers Market at the Villages of Grand Traverse. Saturdays, 10am-2pm
Enjoy eggs, cheese, fruits and veggies, bread, pasta, baked goods, honey and maple syrup – and more! All will be found indoors on Saturdays all winter long! The market is located in the Mercato corridor at The Village at Grand Traverse Commons. More info here.
 
Oyster, Crab Cake and Smoked Salmon Social at Brengman Brothers Winery. Saturday, Feb 5, 1-4pm
The season to enjoy the freshest oysters, the best crab cakes, and smoked salmon is upon us. The Mother Shucker is already thinking about which oysters and wines will be the stellar match that make this event the closest experience to the ocean in the Great Lakes region.

Sledding at the Farm, Saturday night at Pond Hill Farm, 5-8pm.
Bring the family to enjoy homemade wood fired pizza, beer & wine tasting, sledding, bonfire, playground, our gnome house hunt, groomed trails for cross country skiing, snowshoeing or fat tire biking, feeding the farm animals, shopping in the market & more! Indoor & outdoor dining. Free admission & sledding. Pet friendly.
