Local restaurateurs and Northern Michigan breweries will show off their best as Glen Arbor kicks off the summer season with the annual BBQ & Brew Festival in the heart of downtown!
Participating restaurants include Art’s Tavern, Cherry Republic, Blu and Western Avenue Grill. You can wash all that great barbeque down with beer selections from Short’s, Bell’s, Schmohz, North Peak, Jolly Pumpkin, Founders, Cheboygan and Right Brain and more! There will also be non-alcoholic choices from Great Lakes Tea & Spice, Bay Lavender, Cherry Republic and Northwoods Soda.
Admission is $15 per person, which includes four tickets to use toward the purchase of any food or beverage.
7, 20, 42 & 55 mile routes around Lake Charlevoix and through surrounding communities to raise funds for breast cancer programs offered through Charlevoix Area Hospital and McLaren Northern Michigan Hospital. Starts at Veterans Park in Boyne City at 7am. $30 per person/$50 per family Onsite: $35 per person/$60 family.

TC Bike Swap
TART Trails announces the 3rd annual bicycle swap to benefit the Recycle-A-Bicycle program on Saturday, June 1st. The bike swap is held the weekend leading into Smart Commute Week, so it is the perfect time to get wheels for summer commuting. The swap typically has a nice selection of kid’s bikes, too.
Those wishing to sell a bike in the swap must come to check it in at the Old Town Parking Deck on Friday, May 31st, from 5PM-8PM. The seller sets the price, but is encouraged to price it to sell. Recycle- A-Bicycle benefits because 25% of the sale price goes to the R-A-B program and 75% goes to the seller.
On Saturday, June 1st, the swap is open from 9AM to 2PM for the public to view, test ride and purchase bicycles. Last year there was a line-up of buyers waiting for the doors to open and inventory moved fast.
On Sunday, June2nd, sellers return to the parking deck between 9AM and noon to pick up their check and/or any unsold bikes.

Start the summer with this Memorial Day Weekend tradition at Crystal Mountain. Live entertainment and sampling 99 of Michigan finest microbrews, local hard cider and mead with gourmet brats from northeast Michigan markets.
Admission is $10 which includes a commemorative drinking glass to the first 1,000 tickets sold. Tokens for food and beverage are available within the event, or for purchase online prior to the event.
