The Teddy Bear Patrol hits the road.

Lite 96.3 and Blarney Castle EZ Marts want to say a big Thank You to  all the first responders in Northern Michigan. We were out delivering more bears and had a great time meeting and hearing how the bears make it easier for EMS to work with children. The sheriff explained how the  make the uniform less intimidating and the EMS crews told us stories of using bears to comfort and demonstrate a procedure so it's not so scary.

Your donations of bears make this all possible!

Tim stopped by the Women's Resource Center with bears for kids at the Safe House.

The Otsego Fire Department is ready for anything with their bears. Thanks Brandon, Brian and Josh and with Tim.

Lt David Schultz of the Petoskey Fire Department as a new bear on staff.

Tim Nixon joined the Emmet County EMS for a fabulous cook-out and a demonstration of how the bears make their job easier.

Taser the Cheboygan County K9 deputy was sure all the bears were for him.

The Jordan Valley EMS station was happy to see more bears.

Pet of the Week

Sasha came to us from a large hoarding case in Atlanta, Georgia, in December.  Having lived in a house with 90 other dogs, she had very little social interaction with humans.  Staff has been working tirelessly with all of the dogs transported with Sasha, and she was one of the first to warm up.  She is extremely playful, could play ball all day long.  Staff feels that Sasha would do best in a multi-dog home, so that the other dog in the home can teach her the ropes and what it means to be loved by people.  Sasha very recently discovered the wonders of SNOW and is an official Michigan dog now - she LOVES! Read more about her here.
