The colors are really starting to pop, so why not enjoy a mid-week wine tour? Saturday there is an abundance of fall festivals across the area…from Petoskey to Suttons Bay and Bellaire! Or, get set for the upcoming ski season in Traverse City!
 
The Hunt for the Reds of October, Weekdays through October 29^th
Ticketholders will be able to enjoy special red wine pours at wineries along the Leelanau Peninsula, while enjoying the beautiful colors of fall. Tickets are $35 each and include one sample at each participating winery, plus $5 from each ticket will benefit the American Red Cross. Tickets at lpwines.com
 
Rotary Fall Fest, October 16, 4-8pm at the Petoskey Winter Sports Park
Help the Petoskey Rotary celebrate their 100th anniversary with a fun afternoon including local beers and wines, food trucks, an illusionists, live music and a pumpkin roll down the ski hill. Learn more at petoskeyarea.com
 
Suttons Bay Fall Finale Art and Wine Walk, Oct 16, 4-7pm, downtown Suttons Bay
Stroll from store to store & view the work of many different artists while sampling local food & refreshments from area wineries & breweries. Autumnfest at Grass River Natural Area, Saturday, Oct 16, 11-2pm
Enjoy  activities for all ages including a trick-or-treat trail on the boardwalk, pumpkin pounding, fall arts and crafts, and games.  There will be apples, s’mores, donuts, and cider. Hikes on the trick-or-treat trail will leave every 20 minutes and there will be crafts and games outside at the nature center weather permitting.  Masks will be required inside. Nordic Ski Swap, Oct 16, 10am, Brick Wheels in TC
Presented by Vasa Ski Club. Drop off used cross country ski gear you would like to sell from 8-9:30am. The Ski Swap sale follows from 10am-1pm. Experts will be on hand to help with xc ski selection. Details at vasaskiclub.org
