Get a free hot chocolate & donut for the kids at Johan’s; Northern Lights Recreation will give away a free bowling card to all participants; Rocking Horse Toy Co. will give away a freebie; & Harbor Ice Cream Soup & Sandwiches will have free ice cream for all kids. Looking for a food-free Easter egg hunt for your 2-6 year old? Hop on over to the Petoskey District Library on Saturday, April 1, for the 1st annual allergy-friendly Easter egg hunt, which begins promptly at 10:00 a.m., and will feature fun prizes. McLean & Eakin Booksellers will also provide children with free books while supplies last. Stick around after the egg hunt for arts and crafts by Emmet County 4-H.1
 
Kick off the weekend with Happy Hour and Drew Hale.
He’s performing at Rove Estates, Friday from 5-8pm.  Entry is free.
 
Gardening Warm Up, Saturday at the Traverse City Library, 1-2:30 pm
It’s that time of year! There is still LOTS of time to begin your garden…the ground is not even warm yet. Now is the time to plan. Join Nate Walton, Consumer Horticulture Educator from MSU Extension talks to us about gardening basics. He will discuss and help plan the small family garden, what plants work well together and even talk about container gardening.
After the program, grab some seeds from the Seed Library  and get started on your garden today.
 
Farmers Market at the Villages of Grand Traverse, Saturday from 10-2
