Hey there, I’m Rambo!
Like my namesake, I’m a man of action! I love to play and chase balls, chew soft toys and spend time outside. Unlike the Rambo from the movie, however, I’m looking for an easy retirement full of patches of sun, sleepy afternoons, and plenty of play time.
Once I get my wiggles out, I’m a snugglebug, and I would love to spend my time cuddling up with you on the couch for a movie, or maybe even hogging the covers in bed! My stomach is definitely the way to my heart, and if you have snacks, you may just become my new best friend. I’m not just a big beefy love-bug, I’m also pretty smart- I love to do a puzzle toy or a snuffle mat. My perfect family is one who will love to play hard, snuggle hard, and rest hard!
I am 7 years young, and have potential with kids 12+, and other dogs but no kitty cats please. Please ask my friends at the shelter about my medical needs!

Please meet Spring!! This sweet girl has been through a lot, but her name says it all. Springs right back. When she is not snuggling or giving kisses, she is running around playing fetch or just running off some of her energy, or enjoying a nice walk. Spring is also a big sucker for a great long belly rub! She will let you know when she is ready for that belly rub, as she will roll right over and look at you and almost ask for it. Come and give this sweet girl a visit!!

Meet Timmy and Amanda!
Timmy is looking for an experienced cat owner who appreciates an independent spirit, loves interactive play, and understands that trust takes time. If you enjoy earning the loyalty of a cat with real personality, Timmy may be your perfect companion.
This handsome, two-year-old boy is an engaging blend of independence, curiosity, companionship, and playfulness. He loves being where the action is. Whether visitors are arriving or you’re busy around the house, Timmy is fascinated by everything going on. At the same time, he’s perfectly content entertaining himself for hours.
Play is one of Timmy’s greatest joys. String toys and laser pointers are irresistible, and when he’s ready for a game, he’ll gently tap your knee to say, “It’s time to play now!” Once the laser comes out, the whole house becomes his playground. When life slows down, Timmy is happy simply being nearby. If you’re reading, relaxing, or sleeping, he’ll quietly keep you company. Although he’s independent, he checks in with his people throughout the day and forms deep bonds once he feels secure.
Timmy’s early life included more upheaval than any young cat should experience. Born on a farm, he was adopted as a kitten but when he didn’t get along with their cat he was dumped off at a farm to become a barn cat. It was the dead of winter. He had no winter coat and he would not have survived. TC Paw was called to rescue him.
Soon after Timmy was adopted but returned because he wasn’t compatible with the family’s dog. After spending months in a shelter kennel, he needed time to decompress in his foster home before revealing the affectionate, playful cat he truly is. In this calm generous environment he has continued to grow in confidence and trust. He even lives peacefully with a gentle dog.
Like many cats who have experienced instability, Timmy has clear boundaries. He doesn’t like hands reaching toward his face and prefers not to have his back petted. If he becomes uncomfortable, he may swat or give a gentle warning soft-bite. An experienced cat person will easily recognize his signals and respect his space. When given that understanding, Timmy is affectionate, engaging, fun-loving and rewarding to live with.
Timmy is healthy, energetic, and ready for a stable, permanent home. He would do best with one or more adults in a calm household and may do well with easygoing pets that aren’t dominant. Because he values predictable interactions, a home with young children is not recommended.
After so many changes in his short life, Timmy deserves the chance to finally put down roots. Beneath his confident “cattitude” is a playful young cat who is deeply loyal to the people he trusts. The person who gives him patience and understanding will gain a fascinating, entertaining, and devoted companion.
Amanda is a big fan of cuddles and attention! She is adventurous in exploring small spaces or hiding under hanging blankets. When it’s playtime, bring out the coil or spring toys and balls – her favorites! Picking up for snuggles is pretty good too.
Miss Amanda’s on the calmer kitten energy side. She would do best in a medium to low energy house. She does well with her foster’s dog, while not necessarily a playmate, she is not bothered by him.

AuSable Valley Animal Shelter
Hi Friends, my name is Wendy! I am 7 years young, a medium mixed-breed girl weighing about 40lbs, I’m spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and up to date on my heartworm testing.
While my age classifies me as a senior, I still have a lot of pep in my step and am looking for a soft place to land. I would love a home with low to medium activity, I enjoy going for walks, basking in the sunshine, and just hanging with my human.
You asked about my past? I try not to think about it because it was a little sketchy and very scary for me. I had not found the kindest people on my journey to the shelter. That’s all changed now, thank goodness. Even with all the mistreatment I’ve endured, I still have faith that there is good in the world, and I love people.
I am tolerant of other dogs, that are chill and laid back like me, I don’t seem to have problems with cats, and I love every person I meet. I would likely do well with kids, as long as they respect my space and allow me time to adjust to living with them. Proper supervision is always recommended.

Sadie is a senior 7+ year old mix who has already been through more than her share of changes, and now she is looking for a quiet, loving place to spend her golden years.
About 6 months ago, Sadie was found on the side of the road in Flint. Thankfully, she found a family who loved her and gave her a home. Unfortunately, that family recently relocated and, through no fault of Sadie’s, they were unable to take her with them.
Sadie is still learning about us, and we are learning about her. She has shown some signs of resource guarding with a smaller dog in the home, so precautions will need to be taken if she is going into a home with other dogs. Slow, careful introductions and management will be important.
Because of Sadie’s age and the fact that we don’t know her complete medical history or whether she has had previous surgeries, we are not willing to put her through anesthesia for an elective surgery at this stage. Her comfort and well-being come first.
We are still getting to know Sadie, so her recall is currently unknown. There is still plenty for us to learn about this sweet senior girl.
Sadie is awaiting her vaccines and boosters before she can officially go home, but we are already scheduling meet and greets with potential adopters. We want her future family to have the opportunity to spend time with her, get to know her personality, and begin building that bond.
Sadie doesn’t need a complicated life. She needs a home willing to give her time, patience, stability, and love. A place where she can finally relax and enjoy her golden years knowing she is safe and wanted.
