96 Prizes of Summer Contest
June 8, 2026 – August 28, 2026 (or as announced)
NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A purchase will not increase your chances of winning. Void where prohibited by law.
1. Sponsor
The contest is sponsored by Lite 96 (the “Station”), located at [Station Address], and any participating sponsors, including Emmet Brick & Block, Fletch’s Audi of Petoskey, and Tacos & Tequila in Traverse City.
2. Eligibility
- Open only to legal U.S. residents who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry and who reside within the Lite 96 listening area (primarily Northern Michigan).
- Employees of Lite 96, InterTech Media LLC, Sponsors of the contest, their parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies, prize suppliers, and members of their immediate families (spouse, parents, siblings, and children) and those living in the same household are not eligible.
- Only one entry per person/household is permitted per contest day, regardless of method.
3. Contest Period
The contest begins on or about June 8, 2026, and ends on or about August 28, 2026. It consists of:
- Daily Listener of the Day opportunities (June, July, and August).
- Monthly Grand Prize Drawings at the end of each month.
The Station may modify dates at its discretion. All times are Eastern Time.
4. How to Enter / Participate
To become a Listener of the Day and be eligible for daily prizes + monthly drawings:
- Join the Lite Family by signing up at the link provided on-air or on www.lite96.com (free email list signup).
- Listen to Lite 96 for your name announced daily at approximately 10:20 AM and 3:20 PM.
- If your name is called, call the studio line 866-968-9636 within 10 minutes.
- Correct callers win a daily prize and are automatically entered into the monthly drawing for one of the major Prize Packs.
Monthly Grand Prize Drawings: All qualifying Listener of the Day winners from that month are entered into a random drawing for the opportunity to select one of the advertised Prize Packs (subject to availability).
5. Prize Packs & Approximate Retail Values (ARV)
Prizes vary and are listed on the contest page at https://www.lite96.com/96-prizes-of-summer/. Examples include (but are not limited to):
- Electronics (iPad, Apple Watch, headphones, etc.)
- Home & Kitchen appliances
- Outdoor/grilling gear
- Experiences (getaways, activities, gift cards)
- Custom/fun prizes (as described on the site)
Total ARV of all prizes combined is approximately $500. Winners may choose from available Prize Packs at the time of selection (first-come, first-served basis where applicable). Some prizes have restrictions (e.g., blackout dates, age requirements, licensing, or geographic limits). Exact details of certain prizes must be determined at time of redemption, as they pertain to the age of the recipient, scheduling, etc. Prizes are non-transferable, non-exchangeable, and cannot be substituted for cash except at the Station’s sole discretion. The Station reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value.
Winners are responsible for all taxes, title, registration, insurance, transportation, gratuities, and any other costs associated with the prize.
6. Winner Selection & Notification
- Daily winners are selected via live on-air call-in process (first correct caller within the time limit).
- Monthly grand prize winners are selected by random drawing from all eligible Listener of the Day participants for that month.
- Winners will be notified on-air and/or by phone/email. Potential winners must respond within the time specified (typically 24–48 hours) and may be required to sign and return an Affidavit of Eligibility, Liability/Publicity Release, and provide valid government-issued photo ID and taxpayer information (W-9) within 3 days.
- Failure to comply will result in disqualification and selection of an alternate winner.
7. Limitations & Conditions
- Winners must claim prizes in person at the Station or as directed, unless otherwise arranged.
- Prizes must be claimed within 30 days unless otherwise specified.
- The Station is not responsible for lost, late, or misdirected calls/entries, technical failures, or inability to contact winners.
- By participating, entrants agree to release and hold harmless the Station, its sponsors, and affiliates from any liability arising from participation or prize receipt/use.
- Entrants grant the Station permission to use their name, voice, likeness, and statements for promotional purposes without additional compensation.
- The Station may disqualify any entrant who tampers with the entry process, violates rules, or acts in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner.
8. General Conditions
- This contest is governed by U.S. law and is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
- By entering, participants agree to abide by these Official Rules and the decisions of the Station, which are final and binding.
- The Station reserves the right to cancel, modify, or suspend the contest for any reason, including technical issues or force majeure.
