The Festival of the Book has become a “do not miss” event.

Executive Director Amy Gillard will share what’s new at the Harbor Springs Festival of the Book, a three-day celebration of readers, writers, books, and the literary craft. Now viewed as the signature event for Harbor Springs, the Festival attracts over 1,300 attendees and has an economic impact is over one million dollars.

It is the only annual multi-day, multi-genre book festival in Michigan and it features up to 50 nationally published authors and illustrators in sessions including eight genres: fiction, nonfiction, mystery/thriller, poetry, cookbook, picture book/early reader, middle grade, and young adult.

You will also learn about Festival of the Book’s year-round programming including Authors in Schools, Books for Schools, and One Bay One Book Community Read Events. Their mission is: To inspire readers of all ages and to celebrate the culture of books in a beautiful part of the world.

The Luncheon takes place at Stafford’s Bay View Inn. Registration and networking take place from 11:30 a.m. to noon. The lunch will be served at noon. The program will begin at 12:25 and the event will conclude at 1:00 p.m. Register here today.

Lunch will be a Caesar Salad with grilled marinated chicken – romaine lettuce, croutons, shaved parmesan, Stafford’s creamy Caesar dressing. Please make a note in your registration if you require the gluten free or vegetarian option – it will be Burrata Caprese salad – Burrata cheese, toasted cashews, green crisp sweet lettuce, tomato and honey balsamic dressing.

Cost is $35 for CWIB members and $45 for all others.
