You have probably heard and seen that Emmet County’s hospital, businesses, building trades and organizations are facing severe workforce shortages. Did you know one of the primary reasons is that new workers coming to our communities have no place to live?? Housing shortages exist at all price points and have reached a CRISIS in Emmet County.
Learn about total estimated housing demand, challenges facing our area and opportunities for housing solutions in this panel discussion featuring Sarah Ulrich of Northern Michigan Habitat for Humanity, Sarah Ford, Petoskey Harbor Springs Area Community Foundation and Nikki Devitt of Petoskey Regional Chamber of Commerce. All of these organizations are part of the Little Traverse Bay Housing Partnership.
The event will take place at the Grand Unity Event Center. There will be plenty of space for us to spread out. You can see the amazing lunch menu here. Registration and networking will begin at 11:30 a.m. The lunch and program will begin at noon and end by 1 p.m.
