Local art, a fall color tour, great brews and a good scare!

The first weekend in October is full of fun…you can start with a tour of great Art along M-22, or get a good scare at Fort Michilimackinac! The Breezeway beckons with a great fall color tour this Saturday…or find delicious local brews and live music in Empire or Harbor Springs!

 

M22 Art2Art Tour, October 5th through the 7th

Tour several locations along M-22-the Suttons Bay Friendship Center, Northport Village Arts Center, the Old Art Building in Leland, and Glen Arbor Community Center, where work from nearly 40 local artists will be on display. Hours are Friday, 5-8:30pm, Saturday 10-6, and Sunday 10-5. Learn more at oldartbuilding.com

 

 

Fort Fright @ Fort Michilimackinac, Friday and Saturday October 5th and 6th

Walk the lantern-lit path to the fort where scares, storytelling and spooky fun awaits you. Admission is $10 for adults, $6 for ages 5-12, free for 4 and under. Learn more at mackinacparkscom/fort-fright

 

 

10th annual Breezeway Fall Color Cruises, October 6th and 13th

Participants pick up goody bags filled with trip tips, color tour maps, coupons and more at Royal Farms in Atwood between 10am and noon, then proceed at your own pace along C-48, the Breezeway, stopping for shopping and dining along the way. 5th annual Hops and Harvest Festival, Saturday, October 6th, noon-10pm, Empire

Harbor Springs Brew Festival,Saturday, October 6th, 2-8pm, Harbor Springs Waterfront
