Boards and skis and Christmas trees, Books and Brunch, and Flapjacks and Flannel!

This weekend is full of great events…start by outfitting the whole family for the ski season at TC West Middle School, then stroll through dozens of beautifully decorated trees in Kalkaska. You can stock up for a winter of reading at the City Opera House, or enjoy pancakes and pints in plaid at the Flapjacks and Flannel festival. Then on Sunday, Veterans and their families can gather for a free brunch in Petoskey.
 
 
GT Ski Club Annual Ski Swap, Saturday, November 10th, 9am-4pm,                                            TC West Middle School

2018 KAIR Festival of Trees, Nov. 10th-17th, 10am-3pm, Northland Plaza, Kalkaska
Featuring 37 decorated trees of all sizes with a variety of colors and themes. Come get holiday decorating ideas, visit with Santa, enjoy holiday music and more.
 
TC Children’s Book Festival, Saturday, November 10th, 10am-2pm,                                     City Opera House, TC
A celebration of children., families, community, and literacy, this event features a sampling of books for the entire family from a variety of local and national publishers. Local non-profits will be offering kid-friendly activities and crafts, with all proceeds to benefit Born To Read. Learn more at tcchildrensbookfestival.com
 
Flapjack and Flannel Festival, Saturday, November 10th, Noon-7pm, The Little Fleet, TC
Featuring flapjacks from Daily Blend and the Cook’s House & cocktails from Iron Fish Distillery, plus craft beers, and live music by the Whistle Stop Review, Turbo Pup and Jack Pine. Tickets are $10-$60. Get yours at mynorthtickets.com

 
Veterans Day Brunch at Iron Horse Cafe’, Sunday, November 11th, 11:30am to 1pm
Veterans and their families are invited to a free brunch at the Iron Horse Cafe’ in the North Central Michigan College Cafeteria following the parade in downtown Petoskey. No reservations are necessary.
