From Comics to Antiques to Fine Art….plus Beer and Brats, and a Stargazing Party!

It’s a great weekend for Comic Book Geeks at the Grand Traverse Resort & Spa…or shop for treasures at the Northwestern Michigan Fairgrounds! You can enjoy beer and brats at Crystal Mountain on Saturday, or watch artists create in the open air in Leland. Then wrap up your night with a little stargazing at Sleeping Bear Dunes!

 

JOIN LITE 96.3 AT THE THE ROUND LAKE MUSIC FESTIVAL, MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND IN CHARLEVOIX’S BRIDGE PARK.

Friday night is the Jelly Rolls Blues Band at 5pm in Bridge Park followed by a spaghetti dinner to benefit Top of Michigan Trails. Saturday, The Hustlers are bringing their foot stomping rock…. And then Sunday, it’s Charlevoix’s own Jill Jack Band. Jill has opened for some great shows including Seger, Shawn Colvin and Chris Issak… and she’s bringing the band to Charlevoix for a great show. There will be beer, wine and spirits every evening from the Bridge Street Tap Room.

The Red Dresser Barn Market, Friday and Saturday, Northwestern Michigan Fairgrounds, TC

Michigan Beer and Brat Festival, Saturday, May 25th, 4-8pm, Crystal Mountain, Thompsonville

“Leland Air”-a Plein Air Event, Saturday, May 25th, Leelanau Community Cultural Center, Old Art Building, Leland

From 10am-4pm artists will be seen painting around town, then from 6-7:30pm the public is invited to a reception and sale, where they can buy works of art “fresh off the easel”. Artists will donate 40% of art sales to the Old Art Building. The exhibition will continue through Sunday from 11am to 4pm. Learn more at oldartbuilding.com

 

“Find Your Park After Dark”, Saturday, May 25th, 9-11pm, Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore,

Dune Climb Parking Lot

This is a night of stargazing, solar viewing, chances to view the meteor shower, storytelling and more. This event is free, you just need a entrance pass or annual pass to get in the park.
