Kick off your weekend with holiday fun at the Grand Traverse Commons, or catch the Lighted Holiday Parade in Kalkaska. Saturday is a great day to stroll, shop and enjoy the season in Charlevoix or Bellaire…and Sunday, you can enjoy a Hot Cocoa tour of downtown TC!

 

Tree Lighting at the Village at Grand Traverse Commons, Friday, December 6th, 5-7:30pm

Enjoy live music and hot chocolate on the patio of Cuppa Joe from 5-7pm, then join the tree lighting ceremony at 7pm. Learn more at thevillagetc.com/tree-lighting

 

Christmas in Kalkaska Lighted Holiday Parade, Friday, December 6th, 6:45pm

Come out to the 300 block of Cedar Street. Featuring the tree lighting followed by the lighted parade at 7pm. Santa will visit with kids after the parade and there will be a bonfire with free cookies and cocoa. Get details at christmasinkalkaska.webs.com

 

Holiday Merchant Open House and Hot Cocoa Contest, Saturday, December 7th, 10am-5pm

Featuring holiday sales, snacks, giveaways and more. Catch a free movie at the Charlevoix Cinema III at 2pm. The Hot Cocoa Contest will run from noon to 5pm at downtown businesses on the “Cocoa Trail”. Please bring a canned good to benefit the local food pantry. Learn more at charlevoix.org

 

10th Annual Light Up The Night & Soup Cook-Off in Bellaire, Saturday, December 7th, 11am-7pm

Featuring a free kids movie, ornament making, and a soup cook-off featuring more than 10 different delicious offerings from participating restaurants. Lots of holiday fun including the tree lighting, a live nativity, turkey bowling and more. Catch the “Parade of Lights”, then visit with Santa afterwards.

 

Downtown TC Cocoa Crawl, Sunday, December 8th, 11am to 2pm

Stroll and do some holiday shopping in downtown Traverse City, while warming up with delicious gourmet hot cocoas at stores along the way! Learn more at downtowntc.com/downtown-cocoa-crawl
