Winter fun, food, beer and wine, and a day with the Groundhog!!!

This is the weekend for Michigan’s longest running cross-country ski race. It’s also a great weekend for foodies, with the Festival of Foods at the Hagerty Center and the 9th annual Michigan Beer and Wine fest in Gaylord. The Groundhog has his big day in Charlevoix on Saturday, or you clould hit the snowshoe trails in Suttons Bay, with tasty sips along the way!
 
White Pine Stampede, Saturday, February 1st, 8am-5pm, Mancelona High School
Michigan’s longest and oldest point-to-point cross country ski race. Proceeds benefit  Children’s Hospital of Michigan. The 50k race starts at 9:30am, the 20k at 10:30, and the 10k at 11:30am. Register and get details at whitepinestampede.org
 
Festival of Foods, Saturday, February 1st, 10am-3pm, Hagerty Center, TC

Charlevoix’s Groundhog Shadowfest, Saturday, February 1st
Featuring a free movie at the Charlevoix Cinema III, Super Soup contest at the Main Tent, story time games and puppet crafts at the library, Winter Activities at East Park, a Scavenger Hunt, Live music from the Sleeping Gypsies and more. 9th Annual Michigan Beer and Wine Fest, Saturday, February 1st, 6-10pm, Treetops Resort Convention Center, Gaylord

The Vine To Wine Snowshoe Tour, Saturday February 1st, 11am, Big Little Wines, Suttons Bay
Enjoy a guided snowshoe hike, stopping at 3 wineries along the way. The tour starts at Big Little Wines, and also makes stops at Suttons Bay Ciders and Ciccone Vineyards.
