This weekend kicks off with a chance to enjoy the fruits of this year's harvest in Charlevoix. Then, do a little shopping for the family in Boyne City! You can tour the Little Traverse Lighthouse,
or 7 lovely homes across Northern Michigan, and wrap up your weekend
with a day of cider and sausages on Sunday!

39th annual Charlevoix Apple Fest
Friday October 13th through Sunday, October 15th
The harvest is in! Come to downtown Charlevoix to shop from dozens of different apple varieties, along with fresh cider and baked goods and other yummy offerings. Then head to Bridge Park and East Park to shop the Apple Fest Art and Craft show, featuring over 165 exhibitor booths offering the work of artists and craftsmen from around the country. 8th annual Mom to Mom Sale
Saturday, October 14th, 10am-1pm, Eagles Club, Boyne City
Come shop for quality items at discounted prices for children birth to teens, as well as maternity clothing. Sponsored by Mother's Keepers of Boyne City. Cost to enter is $2 per person or $5 per family,
Children 12 and under free.

Little Traverse Lighthouse Tour
Saturday, October 14th, 9am-5pm
A rare opportunity is coming to tour the privately owned Little Traverse Lighthouse this October with the Harbor Springs Area Historical Society. Tours run in half-hour increments throughout the day on Saturday and tickets are $40 per person; tickets are non-refundable. Northern Home and Cottage Tour
Saturday, October 14th, 10am to 5pm
Come tour 7 homes and cottages curated by Northern Home & Cottage editors, all to benefit Child and Family Services of Northwestern Michigan.  Tickets are $25. Get yours at
2nd annual Cider and Sausage Salon
Sunday, October 15, 1-5pm, Timber Ridge Resort
This event will feature live entertainment from TurboPup, locally made sausages and will showcase Michigan's premiere ciders and cider makers. Enjoy great food, outdoor games, the Lions on the big screen and more!  Tickets  are $30 in advance and $35 at the door, and are available at

Join Lite 96.3 for another exciting season of Swingshift and the Stars! This year, 23 local charities are in line to recieve help from the community. Lite 96.3's Tim Nixon is a judge and we are inviting you to join him for the next event Friday, October 20th, 7pm at the City Opera House in Traverse City. Pet of the Week 

Bendito…at first I thought, ‘What kind of funny name did they give me?’ When I found out it means “blessed” in Spanish, I decided it was a perfect fit, since I’m definitely fortunate to have ended up here. Everyone is so nice to me and I have lots of good food to eat and even some pals to play with! As nice as it is here, I’m hoping that there’s a family out there meant just for me. I’m only five months old and I have lots of energy so hopefully I can find someone who can keep up with my energy level. Read more about me here.
