Art shows are always fun, and the season kicks off this weekend at the Emmet County Fairgrounds with Spring Art in the Barn. The show is Saturday, May 10 and Sunday, May 11 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Treat mom to loads of fun. Guests will receive a spring swag bag. There are classes that you can enjoy with your mom including a beeswax making class, floral design, and the art of charcuterie. If jazz is your flavor of music, don’t miss the TC Philharmonic’s concert of Jazz Cantinas on Sunday. Enjoy stirring array of choirs, with award winning Jeffrey Cobb conducting. The performance will feature two TC premieres–Duke Ellington’s legendary combination of choral and jazz orchestra forces in his Sacred Concert and Jeffrey Cobb’s The Lesson of the Lark, having been premiered online during the pandemic–we now have the honor of presenting the live premiere. The performance starts at 3pm at Lars Hockstad auditorium in TC. Get tickets at https://tcphil.org/concerts/jazz-cantatas/
