Meet Kal! Kal is a fun-loving, playful, and downright goofy guy with a heart full of love and a tail that never stops wagging. This wiggly social butterfly lives for human attention and makes fast friends wherever he goes. Whether he’s leaning in for booty rubs, cuddling on the couch, or trotting around with a tennis ball (or two) in his mouth, Kal is always ready to bring a smile to your face.
Smart and eager to please, Kal already knows sit, down, and come, and he’s working on mastering drop it-especially important when tennis balls are involved (which is basically always). He’s strong and enthusiastic, so he’d do best with dog-savvy kiddos and would likely enjoy having a dog friend with proper introductions. Kal is the kind of pup who’s always up for an adventure but equally happy to snuggle up after a fun day. If you’re looking for a loyal, loving, and slightly goofy companion who will be your ride-or-die, Kal might just be your perfect match.
Come meet your new best friend – Kal can’t wait to wiggle his way into your heart!
Thank you so much for your support in finding our furry friends forever homes!
TC PAWS
BONDED PAIR
PEACHES & HERB
2 years old and littermates
Peaches
Domestic Short Hair
Medium Adult Female (spayed)
Peaches has worked really hard to trust people after she was rescued from a cat colony and placed in a TC Paw foster home.
She has come a very long way from hiding in her bed in the closet. She is more comfortable coming out of her bed and letting you pet her. Instead of hiding on the dining room chairs, she suns herself in the window.
Peaches socializes and plays with the other cats or will sit and watch them play. She loves her wet food. Peaches is very sweet and will make a great cat if given time.
Her brother Herb lives in the same foster home. These two cats are bonded. We feel they should remain together. Please check Herb’s page too and see if you have room in your home and heart for this good-looking orange pair.
HERB:
Rescued from a cat colony, Herb has come a long way from the shy boy he was to the lovable guy he is now who enjoys being petted and having his belly rubbed, and he’s quick to purr in response.
He took a while to warm up, but now he loves to play with the people, kids, the other cats, and even the puppy in his TC Paw foster home.
He isn’t crazy about being picked up, and loud noises or a lot going on may make him hide, but most days you’ll find him lounging on the cat bed in the sunny bay window or on the screened porch with his other buddies or his sister Peaches.
Herb likes to chase his toy mouse around. He likes wet food. In his new home, Herb will need an adjustment period. The best way to do that is to start talking to him, then talk while petting him. Give Herb some time, and he will be a real sweetie.
Herb’s sister Peaches is in the foster home with him. They are bonded, and we feel they will need each other to adjust to a new home. Please check Peaches’ page too and see if you have room in your heart and home for this good-looking orange pair.

Their mission is helping cats and kittens in the greater Traverse City region through rescue, spay/neuter, fostering, adoption, education and community collaboration.
From the Charlevoix Humane Society
Hello there! The name’s Pebble. I am a 2 year old Pembroke corgi mix. My brother and I ended up at the shelter after being transferred from downstate. Whatever that means. I was pretty scared when I first got here. Who wouldn’t be after such a big change? With lots of cookies and head scratches, the humans are starting to win me over. New people still make me a little nervous. You know, stranger danger. But once they sit with me for a minute, I feel more comfortable opening up. I hope you don’t mind if I find my way into your lap. It’s only fair that I repay the belly rubs the humans give me with kisses. So you can expect lots of those. I can be a little pushy with other dogs when I get over stimulated, but overall could probably coexist with another dog. The humans have asked me whether or not I like cats, but I’ve never met one so how can I be sure? Do you think we could be friends? I promise to make the visit worth your while!
