Halloween Into November

weekend

This weekend, we’ll not only be celebrating Halloween fun, we’ll also start to think about the holidays and skiing as we move into November, so we’ll be making a transistion of sorts,  but first things first. Let’s start with some Halloween fun.

The City Park Grill Annual Halloween Bash starts at 9pm, Halloween night. Sing your spooky heart out during Spooktacular Karaoke. Show off your best Halloween look for a chance to win costume contest prizes. Sip on freaky drink features, dance the night away and enjoy all the ghoulish vibes that make this one of the most anticipated parties of the season. Bring your creativity, friends and Halloween spirit! This party is 21 and up with valid ID, and there is no cover charge. Complete details are at CityParkaGrill.com.

For the kids on Halloween, have them stop over to Trunk R Treat in the Village at Bay Harbor, from 4 till 5pm. It has become a true holiday tradition in Bay Harbor. This is a fun, fast-paced hour along Main Street with cars lined up and trunks open with goodies for all. Bring the kids down before the trick or treating starts in local communities for a safe way to celebrate.

As we make our way into November on Saturday and think about the transition from Fall festivities to the holidays, stop over to FarmHouse Vineyards on 8450 Channel Road in Petoskey. On the last day of the wine tasting season, arrive in costume and enjoy 20% off your wine bottle purchases. This will be a family-friendly event with hayrides, bocce ball, corn hole, wood-fired pizzas, bonfires, and wine. Plus, they will have Nick Visconti in the house for live music.

If you’ll be thinking more about the holidays starting November first, consider the Bellaire Chamber Holiday Gift Fair, from 10am till 3pm at Shanty Creek Resort in Bellaire. This event showcases local artisans, crafters & vendors, offering a festive marketplace for holiday gift shopping. Admission is free, and for more details, visit BellaireChamber.org.

And finally, there will be a great fund raiser called “Chicago or Bust” Supporting the Harbor Springs 8th Grade Trip this spring. It will take place on Saturday, from 5–8pm. Pond Hill Farm in Harbor Springs. Guests can enjoy a Silent Auction, live music by the Dad Band, and appearances from other special guests.

Have a great weekend! Oh, and don’t forget to turn your clocks back one hour before bed on Saturday night, if needed, as we move to Daylight Standard Time. Rember the old saying, “Spring forward; fall back.”
