Name: Hillary
Info: Female, 3 year
Days At the Shelter: 382 days
Hello there! I’m Hillary. I’m a big fan of cuddles, loyalty is my middle name, and I’ve got energy for days. Playtime is the best time, especially when puzzle toys are involved. I’m the reigning queen of those! I’m smart, brave, and have a sense of humor that will keep you on your toes. Goofy? You bet! Curious? Always. I’m friendly to everyone I meet and my sweetness knows no bounds. I’m looking for a family that appreciates my playful energy and loves a good game of puzzle toys. I promise to keep you laughing, be your loyal companion, and shower you with sweetness. Adopt me and let’s make beautiful memories together! I have potential to live with other dogs and kids 16+. No kitty cats please. Please ask my friends at Cherryland about my medical needs!
*I am eligible for fostering please reach out to the Foster coordinator at gguerriere@cherrylandhumane.org or by filling out a foster application.

Meet Lexi!
While Lexi gets along with other cats with a gentle introduction, she would thrive best in a peaceful, adult-only home. Experienced cat owners will appreciate her unique personality and needs. Although she tolerates dogs, her ideal environment is one where she can reign as the sole pet.
Lexi is a beautiful 5.8-year-old calico. If you’re ready to provide a loving home for this sweet talker, visit www.tcpaw.org to fill out a pre-adoption questionnaire. A TC Paw volunteer will contact you. Take the first step toward welcoming Lexi into your heart.
If you would like to meet to adopt Lexi, go to our website at www.tcpaw.org and fill out a pre-adoption questionnaire. A TC Paw volunteer will contact you.

Their mission is helping cats and kittens in the greater Traverse City region through rescue, spay/neuter, fostering, adoption, education and community collaboration.

Say hello to Ritz!
This big, handsome fella came to us after being found as a stray wandering around Boyne Falls for almost a week. We are guessing he is around 3 and a half years old. While he may look tough, Ritz is a big softie and even a little nervous when it comes to new people. Ritz favors women but will accept men when given time to warm up. We believe Ritz is housetrained; he keeps his kennel VERY clean and doesn’t seem to rip up or toys or his bedding. Ritz doesn’t seem to care for dominant male dogs but may do well with a more submissive dog. He seems extremely curious of cats, so we are unsure if a house with cats would be the best fit for him. This sweet boy just needs a chance and a family to call his own, could that be you??
If you’re interested in meeting Ritz, you can set up an appointment by calling the Charlevoix Area Humane Society at 231-582-6774. She can’t wait to meet you!

AuSable Valley Animal Shelter

Hi Friends! My name is Asher! Sometimes the shelter team will call me Asher-Dasher because I love to run and play!
A little bit about me, I’m a 1-year-old, medium mixed breed gent weighing in at roughly 50lbs. I’ve been vaccinated, microchipped, and pretty soon I’ll be getting sterilized. I know 50lbs sounds tall, but I’m actually kind of a low rider. The staff isn’t sure what I’m mixed with, but we all agree that I’m absolutely adorable!
I showed up at the shelter, because I was found running as a stray here in Crawford County – and unfortunately no one ever showed up to claim me. That’s okay, because I am enjoying time at the shelter with my new friends as I wait for my furever home.
I think my ideal home would be with a family that can help me work on all the things I didn’t learn as a puppy. Leash manners, proper play, and probably potty training. I would probably do okay living with another dog if I got to meet them first and we hit it off. I’m not sure how I’d do living with cats – maybe with a proper introduction and time to adjust I’d learn to cohabitate with a kitty. I would probably need a home with older children as I’m still a puppy and I have manners I need to work on. I would need kids that are stable on their feet and can help teach me only good things.
If you’d like to meet me – stop by the shelter Tuesday-Saturday 10am-6pm, or if you have any questions about me – reach out to my friends at AVASCares2@gmail.com or by phone at 989-348-4117. Hope we get to meet soon!
