It’s a long Holiday weekend with lots to do!

Start your long weekend with a run before the big meal on Thanksgiving Day. Then, shop early in Glen Arbor on Friday, and all day at the fairgrounds in Petoskey on Saturday. Ring in the Holiday season in the gaslight district Saturday night, and enjoy an old-fashioned Christmas in Northport on Sunday!

Get a run in before your annual feast! This year’s race will benefit the TART Trails Boardman Lake Loop Project and local youth teams and organizations. Admission is $20-$40 per person. Register at tcturkeytrot.com
  
Glen Arbor PJ Party Shopping and Holiday Fun, Friday, November 29th
From 6:30-9am, participating retailers will offer specials for those shopping early and in their PJ’s. Then, catch the crazy antics of the bed race at 9am. And come back later in the evening, from 6:15-8pm for the tree lighting, Christmas caroling, and a holiday craft fair featuring more than 30 artists and artisans.
 
Brother Dan’s Handmade Holiday Craft Show, Saturday, November 30th, 9am-4pm, Emmet County Fairgrounds, Petoskey
Shop unique gifts for the holidays, all while benefiting Brother Dan’s Food Pantry. Admission is $2 or a non-perishable food item.
  
Stafford’s Downtown Petoskey Holiday Parade, Saturday, November 30th, 6pm
Ring in the season with a parade through downtown Petoskey. Plus, kids can see Santa before the parade at Stafford’s Perry Hotel.
 
Old Fashioned Christmas at the Lighthouse, Sunday, December 1st, 10am-4pm, Grand Traverse Lighthouse, Northport
Tour the lighthouse, all dressed up as it would been in the holidays of yesteryear, plus enjoy stories and refreshments. Admission is $5 per person, plus a State Recreation Passport.
