Art, books and wine are on the schedule this weekend.

I’m on vacation this week in Las Vegas. I plan on seeing the Grand Canyon and check out the sites around the area. In the mean time, you can find lots to enjoy Up North this weekend. Get out and enjoy this early spring!
Pop Up Library at the Back Lot in Petoskey, April 8, 5-7pm  Start your weekend Thursday night with this event. This year’s theme is “Welcome to Your Library.” Libraries extend far beyond the four walls of a building, and this year, the library is coming to you! Show your library some love by visiting Petoskey District Library, Boyne District Library, and Charlevoix District Library at The Back Lot in Petoskey. Learn about new services, spin the prize wheel, and sign up for a library card! A portion of drink purchases made at The Back Lot throughout the month of April will be donated to the library.
Petoskey Film Series is Back, Friday, April 9, 7:30pm, Carnegie Building  The Petoskey Film Series is back and this week’s film is Tommy’s Honour.  Audience capacity limit is 24 people. First come, first serve, and saving or reserving seats will not be permitted. Masks and social distancing are required, chairs can be arranged in groups of 2–4 spaced out from other groups. No refreshments will be served at this time. Movies are free but donations are accepted.
Wine and Food Pairings at Bonobo Winery   Enjoy a three-course Wine & Food Pairing at Bonobo Winery every week on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday in  April. Reservations are for one hour. They pair their wines with a 3 course tasting menu. Great way to try new wines and food. Get all the info here.
Youth Art Exhibit at Crooked Tree Arts Center in Traverse City. The Crooked Tree Arts Center is celebrating the work of K-12 Art students and educators in the Grand Traverse region.
The online exhibition can be found here. Artwork selected for an award will be on display at the Crooked Tree Arts Center from April 1st to April 17th during gallery hours.
Free 2nd Saturday at Raven Hill Discovery Center. It is that time of the month for FREE Second Saturday!Join the fun this Saturday at FREE (Families Reaching for Educational Excellence) Second Saturday from Noon to 4:00 pm,  with FREE ADMISSION for Families. Families can explore the hands-on museum and animals indoors and enjoy the outdoor exhibits as weather permits. Bring the whole family or make it a special event for parent and child.
