Dogs, Wine and Harbor Days!

You don’t have to wait for the weekend for a fun night out with the family, or the end of summer for great markdowns! Celebrate the “Dog Days of Summer” and savor local flavor Northport, or take in a free concert with sand between your toes!
 
ELK RAPIDS HARBOR DAYS
August 5-8
The festival starts with a Night on River Street Wednesday night-featured performer of the week is Dominic Fortuna. BOYNE FALLS POLISH FESTIVAL
August 6-9
It’s a lot more than Bratwurst and polkas! This Northern Michigan tradition also features horse, truck and tractor pulls, carnival rides, a Battle of the Bands, Oldies Dance Party, chicken barbecue and of course, a parade!

NORTHPORT DOG PARADE and WINE FESTIVAL
Mill Pond in Northport, Saturday, August 8th, 11am
Northport is always a photo worthy destination, but it’s fun with 4 legged friend that will catch your eye today-dogs and owners dressed to match, with a “Woofstock” ‘60’s theme. Wear your love beads and tye dye and come join the fun! Info here.

The wine festival follows the dog parade from 1-7 and is both dog and kid friendly — dogs and children five and under get in free, children over the age of six are $5.  There will be live music from Big Boss Blues from Kalamazoo, great food, and the wonderful wines, beers and ciders produced north of M-204 in Leelanau County, one of Michigan’s best wine regions.
