A Few Holiday Health Tips

Life can get crazy, especially this time of the year. A few months ago I had a strange thing happen. I was having a stressful week and I suddenly started feeling these heart palpitations. It was pretty scary but turned out to just be stress.
This time of the year can be the most wonderful time of the year, but also the most stressful! One particular concern that the nation's emergency doctors talk about is "holiday heart". It's sounds like a great thing to have but in fact it's a irregular heartbeat that can occur in people who are otherwise healthy. It's the result of stress, lack of sleep, excess alcohol or caffeine, and even indigestion or dehydration.  Emergency doctors say this condition is a lot more common during the holidays. If an irregular heartbeat lasts longer than a few hours you should seek medical attention.

There are a few things you can do to help keep that holiday heart healthy though. The first is to pace yourself when it comes to eating, drinking, or shopping. Here are some other great ideas to help out!  Happy Holidays!!
