15th annual Petoskey Festival On the Bay
August 18th and 19th
Featuring live music, kayak demos, a cardboard boat race, the Big Art Show, YMCA Color Run, a petting zoo and kids activities, a chance to tour the inland seas tall ship schooner, and much more. Get more info at petoskeyfestival.com
15th Annual Children’s Art Fair
Friday, August 18th, 5:30-9pm Downtown TC
All items exhibited  and sold are the creations of young people in the 1st through 8th grades. Hosted by the Great Lakes Children’s Museum, this event will take place during Friday Night Live. Get more info at greatlakeskids.org
Paddle 4 The Pool
Saturday, August 19th, 7:30am-1pm, Ferry Beach, Lake Charlevoix
This is a 4 mile predicted time contest for kayak, SUP or canoe. Prizes will be awarded for the closest to their estimated time and there will be beach activities for the whole family through the event. Get more info at paddle4thepool.com
Lobster Fest
Saturday, 8/19, 5-8pm
Join the Grand Traverse Lighthouse Museum for their annual Lobster Fest. Dinner includes Maine lobster or chicken, red skin potatoes, corn on the cob, pie, bread rolls, cole slaw, beer, and wine.
