Holiday Hazards for your furry friend

We adopted a puppy a few months ago so we now have two dogs in the house. They love to beg for snacks, sneak treats, and we definitely spoil them! This time of the year is super fun for us because our older dog Mitch get's just excited about his stocking as my 6 year old gets about presents under the tree!

If you are a pet owner, there are some things you need to be aware of to keep your animals safe. Most people now know that grapes are bad for dogs, as well as chocolate and dairy, but there are some other things out there that may not even cross your mind!

Xylitol is an ingredient that is an artificial sweetener becoming more popular in sugar free candies and gums, and also peanut butter which is a favorite with my furry friends! It can be very fatal even in small doses.

Something else you may not think about is family and friends. How could they possibly hurt your animals? Too many treats being snuck under the table by your closest pals can end up in a very big calorie overload for your pooch.

Here's more information on what to watch out for this holiday season to keep your pet safe.
