Halloween Fun all over NoMi

This weekend…. it’s Halloween fun! Halloween on a Saturday night means everyone gets to have a good time. Oh, and there is a full moon too!!!
Halloween Hike at the Offield Family Viewlands (former Little Traverse Bay Golf Club site) With Mary Steward Adams, Saturday, Oct 31, 6:30pm  As if the events of 2020 weren’t rare enough already, this year includes a Halloween Blue Moon.  A full moon only happens on Halloween every 19 years. Mary will share stories of the mischief associated with All Hallows Eve and why they matter. Bring a luminary of  your own to light the way.
 
Asylum After Dark, Villages at Grand Traverse, Oct 1-31, 7:30pm  Take a step back in time and experience a night at the Northern Michigan Asylum. Explore one of our most popular cottages from attic to basement as scenes from our historic past are played out in dramatic fashion. The sights, sounds, and darkness will leave you wanting to explore more! Join us for a bonfire after your experience and take home an exclusive piece of asylum history.
Each tour is a 30 minute guided experience, which includes an exclusive map and $5 off Village merchandise. The tour is $45 per person or $80 per couple (ages 18 and over only; ID is required). This tour is not wheelchair accessible.  Tickets available at TheVillageTC.com
 
Downtown Petoskey Trick or Treating, Saturday, Oct 31, 10am-noon.  Dress up the little ones and head to downtown Petoskey for store to store trick or treating. Watch for hidden gobblins! Masks required.
 
Owl Prowl at the Grass River Nature Preserve, Oct 31, 7-8:30pm   Learn about  local owls and their conservation with an introductory presentation, and then head out for a night hike in search of these amazing birds. Participants should be comfortable walking outdoors at night for about one mile on uneven trails. Bring a light. Registration for these small group events is required. No walk-in spaces are available. More info at grassriver.org
 
Spook-tacular Party at Bonobo Winery, October 31, 6-9pm, $36 per    Join us for a Spook-Tacular Halloween Party! We are excited to welcome you to Bonobo Winery on Halloween night for a spooky, entertaining, and delicious Halloween party! From 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, our tasting room will transform into ghoulish fun, complete with small plates, live music, wine, and a costume contest! Dress in costume for your chance to win!
Menu:

  • Pumpkin soup shooter
  • Harvest risotto
  • Apple crisp
