St Patty’s Day fun, the home show and kitty meditation!


Some big fun to be had this weekend with St Patrick’s Day and most of the ski areas doing their end of season shenanigans. So no reason to stay home, get out and enjoy the last little bit of winter Up North.

 Kick of the weekend with some Zen and Kitties with Meow-ditation at the Little Traverse Bay Humane Society, Friday at 5:30. Join Tiffany from Yoga Roots Petoskey for a kitty meditation class! This class will raise funds for shelter animals and raise the spirits of the humans who participate. Bring anything you need to sit comfortably. Cats provided!

Celebrate St Patrick’s Day at the Crooked Tree Arts Center with Blackthorn, Saturday, March 16, 7:30 at CTAC Petoskey

Blackthorn welcomes you to the rich tapestry of Celtic music. Traditional songs of emigration, sea shanties, lively jigs and reels, and ancient airs combine with some of Ireland’s best contemporary songs for a musical experience that captures the history and legend of Ireland and its people. It’s the last big weekend at the area ski resorts! Boyne Mountain celebrates Carnival Weekend where you can step into a bygone era with nostalgic tunes spinning from live DJs, and good old-fashioned tomfoolery. Take a daring run in the annual slush cup, test your skills on the dancefloor, and party through the decades all weekend long. Ring in Spring at the Highlands on Saturday with the Slush Cup, kids games, DJ on the slopes and music in the Zoo Bar and Slopeside. Or Mardi Gras at Nubs Nob with Jelly Roll Blues Band from noon until 2pm.

Rove Winery St Patrick’s Day, Friday 5-8pm, featuring some Irish-style beers on draft, a Jameson Lemonade, and some food specials.

Cass Street Pub Crawl at The Pub. On Saturday, The Pub opens at 3:30pm and Steven Paul & Friends will be bringing the Irish music and vibes from 5-8pm.

7 Monks Taproom Saturday fun featuring some Irish-style beers on draft, a Jameson Lemonade, and some food specials.

The Parlor is ready to serve up St Patrick’s Day on Sunday from 4-8pm Enjoy drink specials, a buffet, and then live music with Delilah DeWylde goes from 4-7pm!


Petoskey area

Take the kids to Pond Hill Farm on Saturday from 1-4. Embark on a whimsical adventure at Pond Hill Farm with our Leprechaun Candy Hunt! Kids will delight in the thrill of searching for hidden treasures of candy scattered throughout the farm, while parents can unwind and enjoy a selection of delightful beer, wine, and cider. Watch the joy on your child’s face as they explore, discover, and fill their baskets with sweet treats, all while surrounded by the charming and picturesque setting of Pond Hill Farm.


Join fun St. Patrick’s Day Celebration that will include a “Wearing of the Green” parade on Huron Street, Pub Crawl & through a collaboration with our friends at The Opera House a concert featuring The Knockabouts, a folk music trio from Marquette who play a wide variety of traditional, contemporary and original music based in Celtic traditions. It’s Saturday from 5 until midnight.


The 16th Annual Rotary St Patrick’s Day Party is Saturday night, 6pm at Castle Farms. Ticket are $75 each and include an open bar, dinner by Grey Gables, and music and dancing from Starfarm (80s tribute band out of East Lansing).
