Sully is a happy, tail-wagging bundle of love looking for his forever family! At 4 years old and 80 pounds, this gentle giant has a heart as big as his paws. He’s social, friendly, and absolutely adores making new friends-both two- and four-legged.
Sully is a strong boy, but don’t let that fool you-he walks like a dream on leash and is always eager to please. He knows “sit,” loves puzzle toys, and is highly treat-motivated (though he tends to take treats quickly, so a little guidance goes a long way). His joyful energy and constant wagging tail are sure to brighten anyone’s day.
Looking for an office buddy? Sully’s your guy. He’s a calm, happy presence and loves being part of the action without being overwhelming. He’s also got a great nose and enjoys sniffy walks where he can explore the world around him.
Sully would thrive in a home with dog-savvy or mature kids and has the potential to live with other pets given proper introductions and ongoing socialization and training. He’s got all the makings of a lifelong companion-he just needs the right person to give him that chance.
If you’re ready to welcome a loving, loyal, and totally huggable goofball into your life, Sully’s ready to meet you!
Thank you so much for your continued support!

Alfie (Alfalfa)
Domestic Short Hair (short coat)
Adult Male (neutered)
7 years young
Alfie was adopted a few years ago, and his adopters were told then that he should be an only cat, but after a while they adopted a kitten, and when he responded aggressively to it, they returned him.
Alfie’s TC Paw foster knows that he’s the boss. He’s delightfully proud and independent, but he likes to be close by your side – just not on your lap. He will often sleep at the base of your bed or lie on your desk as you work. He definitely lets you know when it’s breakfast time!
Although a loner, Alfie likes to be included and he will complain when he’s left out of the action. Alfie lets you know when he wants affection… as well as when “enough is enough.” He loves having his head and chin scratched. When he feels over-stimulated, Alfie may suddenly soft bite to signal “stop.” A soft hissing sound is all it takes for him to let go. In a few seconds he’s calm again and back for more attention. At the end of the day, Alfie hangs around wherever you’re relaxing. You’ll find him nearby, curled up napping within eyesight.
He ’s curious and enjoys meeting new people. Alfie is smart. He opens doors with certain types of handles, and he solves cat treat puzzles. He also immensely enjoys play time with string toys, which simulate hunting. His curiosity is insatiable, and he looks for new spaces to explore.
The garage (doors down), with its scents and critters, is an endless source of entertainment. Alfie needs to be “an only child.” He claims his territory and clearly does not like to share it with other animals. In an adult home with an experienced cat person who wants a single pet, Alfie will be a good, loyal, and entertaining companion.

TC Paw Cat Rescue was formed in the Spring of 2023 after the well-known northern Michigan rescue group AC PAW retired their rescue program for cats and dogs. Their mission is helping cats and kittens in the greater Traverse City region through rescue, spay/neuter, fostering, adoption, education and community collaboration.

Meet Misty! This pretty lady is a mixed breed who we guess to be around two years old. She came to our shelter from Van Buren County along with who we believe to be her sister, Meadow. Unfortunately, as transfers, we don’t know much of anything about their past. Nor how they ended up in the shelter to begin with. While she can be quite shy with people, Misty is more than eager to please! She can’t wait to get in on some petting and baby talk. Being at the shelter is a very stressful situation, as can be expected. But she has already begun to come out of her shell since arriving! Misty has had a couple of seizures while in our care and has been diagnosed with epilepsy. This means that she will need medication twice daily for the rest of her life to help keep it under control. Misty is ready for a great new furever home and needs all the love you can give. She’ll be happy to return the favor!

Hi! My name is Petey! But the nickname I’ve earned at the shelter is “Speedy Petey” because I am the fastest runner!
I am a handsome and playful 1-year-old boy. Since Mom and Dad didn’t make it in to visit, my breed is unknown. I am a medium-sized guy, weighing around 40-45 lbs. I am neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and up to date on my heartworm testing.
I was found in Branch County, MI, running as a stray. When the Branch County team asked me what I wanted, I told them I wanted to live my best life in Northern Michigan, so they were nice enough to give me a ride.
At the shelter, I’ve discovered that my favorite hobbies are racing around the yard with my doggo friends, playing fetch, and going on long walks. I would also make an amazing hiking buddy. I am a high-energy guy and would thrive in a home with active people. I am good with kids and other dogs, but those small things that say “meow” make me nervous.
If you would like to meet me and see how fast I can run, stop by the shelter Tuesday–Saturday, 10 AM – 6 PM, and I’ll make sure to stretch before I show off.

See you soon!
