It is hard to believe it is already the first weekend in November. Lite 96 will become your Christmas Station at 5pm on Friday, along with 96.7. It is also a time to think about what to give that special someone for the holidays… but… Christmas is not here yet, so first things, first.

If you are looking for a date day/night or just going out to eat as a family, Petoskey’s Fall Restaurant Week starting Nov. 7th and goes through Nov. 16th. Participating restaurants in and around Petoskey will be setting their own menus and deals. Enjoy your favorite restaurants and discover new ones at an affordable price. It will be a weekend that will feel like Christmas at the Festival of Trees, Fri – Sun, November 7-9, starting at 10AM each day at the Grand Traverse Mall. Shop in the festive holiday Emporium, sample local bites on Foodie Friday, 10am-1pm & bring all the kids to visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus on Sunday, noon-3PM. Shop and help out local non-profits by participating in Shop Your Community Day this Saturday, November 8th, all day in downtown Traverse City. Shopping downtown gives back during Shop Your Community Day. For every purchase made at participating stores, 15% of sales will be donated to one of 30 local nonprofit organizations chosen by the shopper at checkout. This event has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for community organizations, making it one of downtown’s most impactful traditions. For the arts & craft lovers, the Long Lake Craft Show is on Saturday November 8th, from 9am till 3pm, at the Long Lake Elementary (7600 N Long Lake Rd).
Over 60 local vendors and helps raise money for the elementary students. There will be raffles, lunch and a bake sale! No entry fee, just fun!
