From Apples to Zombies…It's fall and Halloween fun!

This weekend is your last chance to shop the farmers market in downtown TC…plus, you may see a zombie or two, or some little ghosts and goblins while you shop! You can brave a walk in the dark for your fortune in Mackinaw, and wrap up your weekend with live jazz set against the colorful backdrop of the Old Mission Peninsula.

Saturday, October 29th 7:30am-Noon
It's your last chance to browse through fresh apples and produce, bouquets, jams, jellies, soaps and other great products-all locally produced! Grab some pumpkins and mums for holiday decorating and everything from fresh bread to local meats, all in one stop. Parking lot B at the corner of Cass and Grandview Parkway in downtown Traverse City.
 
 
Zombie 5k Run in Traverse City
Saturday, October 29th, 9am
Zombies take over Traverse City, with a run to benefit the TART Trails. Come dressed in your best Zombie attire. The run starts and finishes at Right Brain Brewery on 16th street. For more info, or to register, go to www.tczombierun.com.
 
 
Halloween Cartoons and Haunted Basement Tours at the State Theater
Saturday, October 29th, 10-11:30am
This free event is going on at the same time as the Downtown Traverse City Halloween Walk-Bring the kids for spooky fun at the State Theater. Costumes are encouraged! Get more info at www.stateandbijou.org.
 
 
8th Annual Headlands Challenge at Headlands International Dark Sky Park
Saturday, October 29th, 8-10pm
Guests are dared to walk the 1 mile dimly lit path from the Headlands entrance to the guest house, or take the shorter, but darker unlit woods route-not for the faint of heart! Either path will end at the Guest House where you can have your fortune read and enjoy storytelling under the stars. In addition to the Headlands Challenge, Emmet county is also hosting special Trick or Treating hours at Heritage Village across the street from the Headlands from 6-8pm, and at the nearby McGulpin Point Lighthouse from 9-11pm.
